             abstract = "The present work applies image processing techniques associated to 
                         spatial analysis with the objective of provide the automatic 
                         recognition of landslide scars in slopes of the Serra do Mar in 
                         Sao Paulo State, specifically in the region of Cubat{\~a}o. It 
                         was applied the Batthacharrya classifier, associated to the 
                         normalized index of vegetation (NDVI), followed by intersect 
                         operator regarding geological and geomorfological variables, 
                         summarized by means of a reclassified landslide susceptibility 
                         map. The obtained results were promising, although have occurred 
                         some errors that showed the need of improvements.",
